About the course

A quick summary to refer back to as you write or adapt copy for your own audience.

What is Introducing Interspirituality?

Introducing Interspirituality is a self-paced online course from ProSocial World that explores what happens when spiritual traditions are brought into conversation with one another — not to flatten their differences, but to find the living wisdom they share.

The course is built around Dr. Wayne Teasdale's Nine Elements of Universal Spirituality, a framework developed over decades of interspiritual practice and dialogue. Each element invites reflection on your own path — wherever you are on it — and opens a doorway into daily practices that can deepen that path over time.

The course was co-created by Rev. Diane Berke, a visionary spiritual teacher and founder of a renowned interspiritual center, and Susan Soleil, who coordinates spirituality programming at ProSocial World. Between them, they bring decades of experience accompanying people on inner journeys across traditions.

Email body

Hi [First Name],

I wanted to share something from ProSocial World — a new self-paced course called Introducing Interspirituality.

Most of us, whatever our background, have had moments of recognising something in another tradition — a phrase, a practice, a way of holding silence — that felt strangely familiar. Interspirituality takes that recognition seriously. It asks what happens when we stop treating the world's spiritual traditions as competitors and start listening to what they've each learned about the inner life.

The course is built around Dr. Wayne Teasdale's Nine Elements of Universal Spirituality — a framework drawn from decades of interspiritual practice and dialogue. It's a guided journey through those elements, with reflection and daily practices woven through each one.

It was co-created by Rev. Diane Berke, a spiritual teacher and educator who has spent her life accompanying others on inner journeys, and Susan Soleil, who coordinates spirituality programming at ProSocial World. It's the kind of course you take at your own pace, in your own time — and that stays with you.

It's for anyone drawn to the inner life: those curious about other traditions, those looking to deepen an existing practice, or anyone who senses that the wisdom they need might not be contained in a single tradition.

FAQ

For when people in your network have questions. These are honest answers — feel free to share them directly.

"I follow a specific tradition. Is this still for me?"
Yes — and possibly especially so. Interspirituality isn't about leaving your tradition behind or blending everything into a single practice. It's about listening more deeply, including to what other paths have learned. Many people find that encountering other traditions illuminates something in their own they hadn't quite seen before.
"I don't have a spiritual practice. Can I still take this?"
Absolutely. The course is designed for anyone curious about the inner life — whether you have an established practice, are exploring for the first time, or simply feel drawn to these questions without knowing quite why. There's no assumed background or belief system required.
"What are the Nine Elements of Universal Spirituality?"
They are nine qualities or capacities that Dr. Wayne Teasdale identified as running through contemplative and spiritual traditions across cultures — things like moral capacity, nonviolence, solitude and silence, and the sense of sacred presence. The course explores each one in turn, not as doctrine but as an invitation to reflection and practice.
"How long does it take to complete?"
The course is self-paced, so you move through it in your own time. It's designed to be taken slowly and reflectively — this isn't the kind of course you rush. Some people move through it over a few weeks; others return to individual elements over a longer period.
"Is $75 worth it?"
That depends on what you bring to it. The course is designed to be genuinely transformative — not just informative. It includes daily practices you can carry into your life beyond the course itself, and a certificate of completion for those who want a record of the work. For anyone serious about the inner life, it's a meaningful investment.
"Who are Rev. Diane Berke and Susan Soleil?"
Rev. Diane Berke is a spiritual teacher, author, and educator who has spent decades guiding others on inner journeys. She founded a renowned interspiritual center and brings a background in both psychology and diverse spiritual traditions to her work. Susan Soleil coordinates spirituality programming at ProSocial World and brings 30 years of experience working with nonprofits to this unique role. Together they bring complementary depth — one from the contemplative world, one from the organisational — to the course.
