Denis Noble

Denis Noble is a British evolutionary biologist and physiologist, and Professor Emeritus of Cardiovascular Physiology at the University of Oxford. A pioneer of systems biology, he is widely recognized for developing the first viable mathematical model of the working heart and for his influential critiques of gene-centred approaches to evolution. Noble is a Fellow of the Royal Society and the author of numerous books and more than 700 scientific papers.
