My work and research are grounded in the understanding that social change starts from the inside out, and is nurtured from the outside in.
Combining research and practice I draw on the past to influence the future. As a humanitarian practitioner, I worked for two decades with UNICEF and the World Food Program in large-scale emergencies in West Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
As a senior lecturer, coach, and researcher, I collaborate with universities, around the world. Holding a PhD in Law I am since 2023 a Senior Research Fellow at the Wharton Initiative for Neuroscience and the School of Dental Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. My focus is on ProSocial AI, or the potential of AI to bring out the best for people and planet. I am a Forbes Contributor on topics related to AI for Social Impact https://www.forbes.com/sites/corneliawalther
In 2017 I initiated the POZE dynamic (Perspective – Optimization – Zeal – Exposure) in Haiti, which has since grown into a global network of like-minded thinkers and doers. In 2020 POZE@global was established in 2022 as an alliance of un-likeminded, yet like-hearted leaders committed to social change. It offers cross-cultural tools for hybrid change.
My work focuses on sustainable social transformation, including the potential of aspirational algorithms for positive social change at scale.
