I've had a very diverse career in terms of the range of roles, sectors and responsibilities. It was this diversity that led me to integrate my professional focus into sustainability ~ integrating my environmental, community and business work ~ plus a focus on enabling strategic and social change for this purpose.I believe that we are at the early stages of a 'paradigm storm' ~ a multi-generational cacophony of multiple step-changes with two overall competing trends. The first is the long, slow, arc towards a healthier, more peaceful, creative and inclusive culture. The other is the shocks and echoes of the old ways ~ massive environmental degradation, domination by elites and social trauma.Sustainability, like wellness and peace, is a holistic principle and pursuit that summarises the great transition we are now embarking upon ~ either willingly or not!My current work in this space is largely with Starfish Initiatives, though some freelance too, and spans renewable energy, reconciliation, youth development, regenerative farming, social housing, business sustainability, mental health recovery and landscape-scale bush regeneration. While my original qualifications were in commerce and taxation law, they have expanded with formal studies in governance, strategy, facilitation, leadership, training, negotiation and communication.I bring a grasp of the 'big picture' together with attention to detail and the ability to make change happen.Specialities: Adam’s work focuses on rural & regional sustainability ~ improving community wellness in ways that are environmentally sustainable & economically equitable. With qualifications originally in commerce & taxation law Adam blends strong business & organisational acumen with expertise in social change, social leadership, social marketing, community psychology, consciousness, facilitation, strategic planning, human development & wellness.
