Patrick is an independent pracademic who is bridging academia with industry. Besides lead-developer of the Market Mind Hypothesis (MMH), he is the Founder-Director of the Market Mind Foundation (MMF). The MMF is an educational charity to further develop and promote New Economic Enlightenment, spearheaded by the MMH. It is governed by an independent board of distinguished trustees, all (former) investment professionals. His technical papers have been published in various peer-reviewed journals and he regularly presents his work at conferences, etc. Previously, Patrick worked for almost thirty years in investment management (initially banking) in Edinburgh, London, New York, and Singapore, as well as the Netherlands (where he was born). Patrick has a PhD (University of Essex), an MBA (University of Groningen), and an MFE (UC Berkeley; inaugural class, a.k.a. “Rubinstein’s Guineapigs”). His professional investment qualifications include the VBA (Dutch CFA), the CEFA and the CMT designations.
