ProSocial World – Gender Equality Plan
Adopted: October 2025
Approved by: Executive Director
1. Our Commitment
ProSocial World affirms its commitment to advancing gender equality in accordance with the requirements of the European Commission’s Horizon Europe framework. This Gender Equality Plan (GEP) establishes objectives, actions, and monitoring mechanisms designed to promote equal opportunities for all genders across our organization. The GEP is endorsed by executive leadership and made publicly available on our website. It will be reviewed and updated annually.
2. Governance and Implementation
The Director of Operations leads the plan’s implementation and annual review. A small budget and part of staff time are dedicated to collecting data, annual internal review, and improving policies.
3. What We’re Working On
- Work–Life Balance: We support flexible hours, remote work, and parental leave for everyone. Staff surveys will help us see what’s working and where we can improve.
- Leadership Balance: We’ll track who’s in leadership and decision-making roles, aiming for fair gender representation by 2028.
- Hiring and Career Growth: We’ll ensure that our job postings are inclusive using gender-neutral job descriptions and inclusive language, our hiring committee will be balanced, and our promotion processes fair.
- Gender in Our Work: Where it fits, we’ll consider gender perspectives in our research and outreach programs.
- Safety and Respect: We have a clear anti-harassment policy and confidential reporting options
4. How We’ll Measure Progress
Every year we’ll collect and publish the following information (from 2025 onward):
- How many staff we have by gender and role
- Hiring, promotion, and pay data by gender
- Parental leave use and return rates
- Training and leadership participation
- Reports of harassment (in anonymous, aggregate form)
The report (below) uses 2024 as the baseline year. Future reports will show changes over time.
5. Updating the Plan
We’ll post a short annual update with new data, actions taken, and what we plan to do next year.
